The Asansol plant is situated about 200 Kms. from Kolkata and 25 Kms. from Kumardhubi. The plant has a covered area of 17,500 sq mtrs and an open area of 83,500 sq mtrs.
This new plant commenced manufacturing operations from December 2008 with facilities for heavy fabrication, machining and assembly. Fabrication facilities include CNC Oxy Fuel & Plasma Profile cutting machine, Plate Rolling machine upto 100 mm thick, carbon steel and Automated welding machines. Machining facilities include CNC Turning Center of maximum 600-mm. dia., CNC Horizontal Boring machine with 15T capacity Rotary table and CNC Double Column Machining Center (Maximum work length 15 meters). Shot Blasting Facility for surface cleaning and spray painting booth for equipment painting are available.
The Asansol unit is ISO9001: 2008 certified and approved for manufacturing Heavy Fabricated Equipment for Nuclear Power Plant.
